Welcome

The Texas Carnivore Ecology Laboratory (TCEL) is dedicated to the study of the ecology and management of carnivorous wildlife. We investigate a broad array of topics, from basic ecology to highly applied management, to better inform the conservation of these species. Although we work primarily in the Lone Star State, we collaborate with a broad array of partners across the world to improve conservation of carnivorous species. TCEL strives to get better information in the hands of managers meet their needs.

Our logo is a Lightning Fox, which recognizes both the quiet, often quick work that we do, while also being reflexive to changing needs and issues of our partners, stakeholders, and species’ conservation needs
